Hey my Fit Fem'rs! Happy Monday!
So you finally did it--you hired yourself a personal trainer! Whoop Whoop! So the big day of your first training session arrives and you find yourself worrying. What if I can't do it? What if I vomit and embarrass myself? What if I'm the most out of shape person the trainer has dealt with????? And on and on you go, scaring yourself to death about training. But I am telling you, don't be scuuuurrred! Follow these tips and you are good to go!!

1. Drink Water- This is extremely important for anyone working out. Whether you are an exercise junkie or you rarely move that body, stay hydrated!
2. Eat Breakfast- Eat a light breakfast two hours before a workout to get the energy you need to endure your training session. Don't eat anything that will make you feel uncomfortably full. Fruit or a bowl of oatmeal are some great choices!
3. Tell Your Trainer the Truth- Every trainer will ask you if you have any injuries past or present. BE HONEST!!!! Don't be ashamed of anything, your trainer is there to help you. If you have a shoulder injury, don't lift 50 pounds weights. If you have a breathing problem, don't go running right away. Be gentle with yourself and allow your body to get use to the new things that you are doing. Plus your trainer will know exactly how to build a conditioning program that is right for you. It's customizable, not a one-size fits all type of training. It's about YOU!
4. Be Patient- You may have to stop during your session or you many not complete it, but it's OK.It's perfectly normal, don't be surprised if you feel like you've been intensely 'challenged'. Be patient and do NOT get discouraged. Know that if you keep training, your body will get stronger as time progresses and before you know it, you will have the body of your dreams.
So enjoy your first session because you are well on your way to accomplishing your fitness goals! Whoop Whoop!
