The Fit Fem of the Month - September 2015

Fall has arrived – even though the weather seems a bit confused these days. Humid and hot as we head into October??? Let’s get it together Mother Nature!! I am ready for my sweats and hoodie style to return.

But if you are a Facebook goer you will see that fall is in full swing – families are out and about picking pumpkins and apples – I know I cannot wait till Mary is old enough to enjoy those activities.

People are enjoying pumpkin flavored beverages (both hot and cold) and desserts that can be made with pumpkin filling and apple spices. It is a delicious and savory time of year.

The Circuit Workout for the Weekend

TGIF ladies!! It is time to kick off your work shoes and throw on those sneakers. This weekend I present to you the Circuit Workout. It is a fantastic combination of cardio, arms, legs and core – complete total body.

This total body workout is a great way to kick start your energy level for the weekend. No equipment needed, just dedication and the motivation to look healthy this summer. I know, this is the season where BBQs, graduations and backyard get-togethers consume our weekends – but let’s remember to give our body the time it deserves.

#TBT - Assault ‘Em Abs Live Workout

About two years ago I did an Assult’em Abs live workout in green stretchy pants. That’s right – GREEN, a color to inspire and motivate those watching from home. It was a great experience and wanted to share it with all of you for this week’s #TBT.

The workout included 5 different exercises with a mixed rep count of 20 or 10 depending on the exercise. The circuit is done a total of FOUR times. It sounds like a lot but only takes 20 minutes and you never have to leave your mat.

20 Minute Living Room Weekend Workout

Any plans for the weekend?? Mine is pretty much standard these days – rest, wash baby clothes, organize shower gifts, rest. Not too much excitement in the final weeks of pregnancy. But this just means that I live vicariously through you guys! And, of course, supply you with a kick ass weekend workout to ensure you maintain all the hard work you put during the week.

The workout designed for this week is kinda crazy. I have had plenty of down time to come up with something really good yet short enough to fit it in between barbecues…your welcome. For this workout you will need enough space to jump around – that’s right ladies – cardio is going to take place.

15 Minute Weekend Workout. You know you wanna try it!

Who is ready for the weekend?? I know I am…exhaustion is an understatement at this point in my pregnancy. People keep telling me to get all my sleep in now but having insomnia is kinda getting in the way of my sleep schedule. By Friday I am ready to put my feet up and relax a bit. I am sure you are too BUT it would not be the weekend without one short yet intense workout. Am I right?

#TBT – “Flab to Fab” Ab Routine

Alright ladies – it is Thursday which means another video from years past. This week we are heading back to 2011 – man, I cannot believe this video is already four years old already. While I’m not a fan of the title of this workout (I admit, this was when I wanted to be a celebrity trainer and thought these kinds of titles were catchy…) it is nonetheless an awesome routine for your abdominals. So much has changed in that time but the intensity and success of this workout remains solid.
