What do you do? What do you do when you notice something is wrong? When you can’t explain certain situations, symptoms, just some weird stuff? Do you ignore it? Do you wait until things get worse? I did nothing for a while until I couldn’t take it anymore.

My heroine – Taryn Brumfitt! Have you heard of her? Well, if this name is new to you, let me explain why it is a name that will change the way you view yourself. Brumfitt is a woman who refuses to accept the negative responses women say about their bodies. She is on a mission to change how the world sees women, and her main focus is to “convince every woman to love her body as it is, to stop buying into corporate messages about beauty, and to change the vocabulary” when it comes to describing themselves.
Well, where should I begin with this whole #BeTheGirl weight-loss challenge created by J.Lo. In a single word, it is simply HORRIBLE. My blood BOILED when I watched J-Lo encourage other women and girls to “train” when she trains, “eat” when she eats, etc, etc. Fat burners. Supplements. Competition. These are not the aspects of a healthy diet. What is J.Lo thinking???
These are the types of diets that need to be avoided. J.Lo is role model to many and she is using that power to sway people towards a weight-loss plan that is COMPLETELY unhealthy, dangerous, and completely unnecessary. Why to make a few more bucks? Does she really need to make more money preying on the insecurities of others? Stick to the movies and music Miss J-Lo!
Ah, the weekend is upon us and we all know what that means – happy hour drinks, sleeping in and Sunday brunch. I know it can be difficult to squeeze in a full workout on the two days you are free from work responsibilities, and of course, there is nothing wrong with enjoying life but…you should try and get a quick workout in between cocktail events.
To help ensure that your weekend is not workout free, I thought it would be a nice gesture to provide a small workout for you…I know I know…you are grateful for my dedication. Here is a quick Core Circuit workout.
Oh my goodness it’s 2015!
I still can’t believe it. It seems as the older I get, the quicker the time passes. I remember as a child, the days were long and years seemed longer. I would look at 30, 40, 50, 60+ year olds as OLD, and now look at me! My child self is in awe of what I’ve become today.
With age comes a ton of wisdom. I don’t take every living moment for granted anymore. And while I absolutely hate resolutions .... (I’ll tell you why in just a moment)....I promised myself that this is the year I cherish as many living, breathing moments I can.
Hiya! If you know anything about me, you know I’m the kind of gal who really says it like it is. I pride myself on sticking out from the normal fitness/weight loss crowd. How so?
Well, I’m ANTI
weighing yourself on the scale…every day
putting you down for splurging at events, especially around the holidays
telling you how to navigate the holidays so you can “survive” holiday bulge
…you get the picture.
This post is about weight loss/weight gain over the holidays. I feel the need to set things straight.
Next week. Next week it begins. (dum dum dum) The season of holiday munching, boozing, and caring a lot about what it does to your waistline but not enough that you wait until the new year to work on your “weightloss” resolution. (or dumb dumb dumb?)
Let me ask you a question. Did your inbox start filling up with emails about the holidays yet? You know the ones that say you can lose weight and burn fat even during the holidays? I certainly. Been getting them for years.
