You hear it all the time. “I really need to start exercising but it’s so hard, I can’t get myself to do it.” And you get jealous of the people who make exercise a consistent routine. They make it look so easy. You cringe at those fitness Instagram selfies and secretly wish that was you posing in front of the mirror, arms up flexing those biceps and even lifting that shirt showing off your bikini abs. (Those still get to me too, you are not alone!)

Who knew that when you become vulnerable and state your position on a current “tabloid” event publicly, you’d get sought after by HPL. As soon as I hit send on my newsletter, I received an email from them asking to be a part of an expert panel discussing Dr. Oz’s controversy.
Poor Dr. Oz!
I’m sure you’ve seen the latest in the news. Dr. Oz got GRILLED!!!! Reading the news prompted me to give you The Fit Fem perspective on this topic of weight loss in a bottle. I mean ya knoowww I’m super passionate about this stuff.
I don’t believe that Dr. Oz is a mean, horrible man, as the media turned him out to be. Quite the contrary, I think he’s an alright fella that tries to do right by the people.
Don’t know what I’m referring to? Here’s the scoop.
I’ve recently declared my new Fit Fem venture. It’s called ChoreoKick. To help promote it, I’ve been shooting videos so that way others who have never taken my classes before can experience the energy and magic and all the fun we have together. Now, I’ve gotten some feedback from my students who feel uncomfortable being on camera. Here is my video response.
I’m finally coming out!
I can’t help but think of that Diana Ross song, “I’m Coming Out” as I’m writing you this week. (Before my time, I know!)
The time has come for me
To break out of the shell
I have to shout
That I’m coming out
I’ve been in complete hiding. I’ve been denying what my soul has wanted to express … for The. Longest. Time.
You know what I’m talking about. You choose a fitness program or diet, get really excited your first day and perhaps the whole week, then you “fall off track” and “getting back on track” is your mission in life.
You see it wasn’t that long ago you were extremely excited and energetic to lead a healthy lifestyle. You know what’s good for you and you say NOW is the time to FINALLY do this! You diligently track your cals on My Fitness Pal, you beast it out at the gym (ehhh maybe beast is not a good word, but at least you took some workout selfies to keep yourself accountable) and you say N to the O when your friends invite you out for dinner and drinks. Let’s face it, you don’t want to be tempted. Bet you’re so proud of yourself!
You are perfect!
I say it again, you are PERFECT.
I’m not going to sucker you into a weight loss challenge or boot camp. Tis the season right? Even though it still feels like winter here in NY, spring is on our mind, which means only one thing – it’s crunch time for the bikini bod.
But like I said, I’m not going to sucker you into another program that promises you will get your bikini body in 6 weeks. In fact, I REFUSE to do that to you.
