Hey Fit Fem’r! So recently (and secretly), I tried the new fitness craze, SoulCycle. For those of you who don’t know, SoulCycle is an intense form of cycling in which one rides to a music beat for 45 miniutes. They say you can burn up to 700 calories in those 45 minutes. In a class, the lights are low and attendees ride by candlelight (yes they really do). It combines inspirational coaching and high-energy music that is meant to benefit the body and the mind.
Now when I first heard of this, I thought it was ridiculous!

And I did just that when I was joined by Verizon - FiOS1 Long Island Saturday Morning Show Anchor Wendy Gillete and Meteorologist Jeff Desnoyers for ‘Get Fit Tips’. Hmm not sure how this latest experience transpired but sure glad it did. You know what they say, “You take every opportunity given you in this world, even if you have too many opportunities. One day, the opportunities stop, you know.” So I just had to….ya know, kick their booties on air!
Welcome to WORKOUT WEDNESDAY!! WHOOP!
Decided to change things up a bit. Most of my workouts are usually intense with plyometrics and strength training moves. I wanted to take it back to the old days. So I slowed things down quite a bit. This is a total body toning workout so make sure you get your warmup, cardio in and end with a cool down and stretch. In light of the warmer weather and we are now in a new month, I felt it was appropriate to title this workout the Spring Fling Workout. It takes about 15 minutes to do. Again, no excuses Fit Fem’r!!
Hey Fit Fem’rs! Last week I told you about the three body types that all women have—endomorph, mesomorph and ectomorph. I personally am an Endo-Mesomorph (yes you can be a combination of two out of the three). I easily gain fat, I easily gain muscle, but it’s a bit challenging for me to lose fat. Storrrryyyy of my life! It’s ok though because now that I know what my type is, I know exactly how to eat and how to exercise! By now, you are aware and know what body type you have.
