Team Fit Fem, Meet Our Trainers
Sylvia Nasser
The Original Fit Fem
My name is Sylvia Nasser, founder of The Fit Fem.
For many years, I have helped women overcome adversity, break through barriers and discover their true physical and emotional beauty. As a young, professional woman, I’m always on the lookout for fitness programs that would enhance my own feminine physique and boost my self-confidence. It would be a lie to say that we are not all searching for the same thing. The reason I am reaching out to you is to inspire you to take action; you are not alone. In fact, you are ENTITLED to look and feel good about your image and your body.
I am a certified personal trainer and fitness instructor through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and a certified Holistic Health Coach, accredited through Purchase College, at the State University of New York, as well as The American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP).
I also have a Bachelor of Science in Business Management/Political Science and a Master of Science in Technological Systems Management from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
Wendy
Fit Fem Trainer
Hello my name is Wendy and I am thrilled to become a part of such an empowering organization. The fitness industry is changing and growing everyday. I love being a part of it; it is truly my passion. I have been an avid group exerciser for over ten years. In 2007, with the encouragement of my favorite step instructor I became an AFAA group fitness instructor. I have since taken certifications in TRX, Zumba and ZumbAtomic. Although I love teaching my group ex classes I knew it was time to further my education and recently became an AFAA certified Personal Trainer. Now I’d like to pass that passion onto you! Let me bring you the excitement and energy of a group fitness class with a one on one experience. Let me cater that class just for you!
Caitlin
Fit Fem Trainer
Hi! My name is Caitlin and I am thrilled to be a part of such an incredible team! My passion for fitness and nutrition began shortly after college where I began really learning about how the human body worked and the science of food. It was so interesting to learn about how certain foods and exercises shape our bodies. My proudest fitness accomplishment to date is finishing the Montauk Lighthouse Triathlon with my now husband. It was an incredible feeling to cross that finish line. I workout 3-4 times a week and am shocked every day at how strong I feel. Working to get stronger in any type of work out is something I look forward to not only because of how my body feels but how confident I’ve become from it.
I am a firm believer that if you feel strong on the outside you will feel strong on the inside. Getting in shape should be fun and exciting and should be a positive addition to your life rather than something to dread. My approach to fitness is very goal oriented whether it’s having a goal weight, being able to run a 5k in under 30 minutes or just being able to run a mile without stopping. Fitness is individual and personal, there is no cookie cutter way to get what you want but if you move your body and put good things into it, results will come – guaranteed.
I am so excited to be a part of your journey towards your goals and I promise to do anything and everything to keep you motivated and in the right mindset to keep going.
Stay positive and let’s get strong!

I'm currently a licensed Zumba instructor and certified trainer. After starting to teach Zumba toning I realized I wanted to do more for people then just see them in class for an hour a week. I enjoy helping others towards their goals.
Angela
Fit Fem Trainer
My name is Angela and I am delighted to be a part of the Fit Fem Family. It is an honor to be growing alongside a team of beautiful, intellectual and hardworking ladies. All of you! I am of full Greek descent, born and raised in Astoria, NY. Currently, I am studying to achieve my Bachelors of Science in Physical Education at Queens College. I am a certified personal trainer through the International Fitness Association (IFA).
As an athlete, remaining healthy and strong is my greatest priority. I have been a proud member of the Queens College Dance Team for four years as well as the Gotham City Cheerleaders for one year. As a dancer, I have learned that in order to succeed I must hold myself accountable, and be fearless in all my endeavors. I encourage you to do the same.
I have found myself through fitness. Each and every day I remind myself that only I can create, and destroy my dreams. I fuel myself by powering my body, which in turn powers my mind. What you put in is what you get out. The beauty of training is that it will always be centered on each individual’s distinctive needs as opposed to the one size fits all approach. Implementing fitness in the students’ lives will provide the confidence, and motivation to embark in activities that will provide lifelong leisure.
There is no top for me. I will forever be a student, and hope to be someone that others can be inspired by. I also look forward to be inspired by each and every one of you fit femmers out there! Through our fabulous training, together we can bring out the powerful, fiery and sexy lady we know you can be.
Let’s get to work!
Alexa
Fit Fem Trainer
Hey there! My name is Alexa and I met Sylvia about a year ago when I attended her Muscle Max and Cardio Kickboxing classes. I have a bachelor’s degree in Music Industry from SUNY Oneonta and I am a certified personal trainer and aerobics instructor through the International Fitness Association (IFA).
Fitness has always been a huge part of my life. Growing up, I played sports like softball, lacrosse, field hockey and soccer. While at Oneonta, I played intramural volleyball and wiffleball, and took karate, tennis, and racquetball courses just for the fun of it. After college, I joined a couple of recreational softball leagues including a tournament team. I also got into MMA and kickboxing.
Currently, I am all about staying active and finding new ways to have fun with fitness. I love snowboarding, competing in mud runs and 5ks, hiking, rock climbing, swimming, biking, and boot camp. I believe in functional fitness. I want you to look good and feel good, but most importantly I want you to be strong. A healthy lifestyle leads to a happy lifestyle. It’s not an easy road, but everything you want is worth fighting for! I look forward to meeting all of you!

Fit Fem Trainer
I am a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Specialist in Fitness Nutrition through the ISSA. I am also a licensed Zumba Instructor. I am married with two beautiful children.
After High School my weight kept creeping up and up. I was 20 years old when I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. When I got pregnant with my first child I was at the heaviest I had ever been, I had gestational diabetes during my pregnancy and after I gave birth I gained even more weight. Through the years I tried diets and failed. I finally realized that it was not just my diet that needed to be changed it was my whole lifestyle. I started by making small changes and adding exercise to my daily life and the scale started going down, my health improved, and my overall mood was so much better. When I got pregnant with my second child I was in the best shape I had been in and this time I did not have gestational diabetes with that pregnancy.
Through all of this I discovered that I had such a passion for health and fitness and I have always wanted to help people. I truly believe that you can achieve anything once you set your mind to it.
Serena
Fit Fem Trainer
Hi there Fit Fem'rs! My name is Serena and this is my little bio:
I’ve played competitive sports for almost my entire life and as a result, fitness has always been a part of who I am. About three years ago, I added yoga to my strength training and cardio regiment, which has given me the dual benefit of building strength and flexibility. Fitness should be fun, not boring, which is why I like to create varied and playful, yet challenging workout routines.
I am a certified personal trainer through the International Fitness Association (IFA) and have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Writing, Literature, and Publishing from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. In my spare time, I write, read, draw, watch football and baseball, travel to the MLB stadiums, and run a non-profit charity that I co-founded called Fred K’s Cancer.
I'm excited to meet you and looking forward to training you all!
Kat
Fit Fem Trainer
Hi everyone! My name is Katherine, but please feel free to call me Kat.
I am certified through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). I've known Sylvia for quite some time now and she's one of the first people who motivated me to become a trainer in the first place. She believed in me when I was her client and gave me the confidence to pursue personal training. Now, I can say I work with one of the best in the business. After all, she did teach me everything I know. I loved to exercise and I enjoy helping others, so why not do them both in a positive way where both client and trainer can benefit? I'm the type of person to push their clients to their limits in order to achieve the best results. If you want an exceptional trainer, I promise you I'll be the one to kick your butt every single time. For me, training is about helping those who are willing to work hard to achieve the results they want and it's fulfilling to watch them progress each week.
I graduated from Farmingdale State College with a Bachelors in Technology Studies, an Associates in Medical Laboratory Technology, and a Health Studies Certificate. I also hold a second Associates in Liberal Arts and Sciences.
